Vol. 04 Feature funnel reporting Wattana, Bangkok

Read the drop-off. Then decide what to ship.

Backup Flowhub trains product analysts and PMs to treat feature funnel reporting as a written craft: named events, honest stages, and a readout a squad can argue with on a Thursday.

“Module five’s PM readout template is the only reason our activation review still happens. I still wish week one spent less time in a spreadsheet.”

“We stopped calling every abandoned screen a conversion failure. The taxonomy week forced us to name what a ‘feature start’ actually is.”

Studio programmes

Three ways into the same reporting problem

Each programme stays inside in-app feature funnels. We do not certify vendor tools and we do not teach paid acquisition attribution.

What the studio actually teaches

Reporting that survives a schema change and a sceptical PM

A feature is a sequence
We stop treating a screen view as a funnel stage. You learn to define start, commit, success, and recovery events for one feature at a time.
Drop-off with a range
Studio reports include a simple interval so a 4-point swing in a small Bangkok cohort is not presented as a collapse.
Taxonomy before dashboards
If two teams name “save” differently, the funnel is already fiction. Week two is almost entirely naming discipline.
A readout, not a gallery
The final artefact is a two-page note: what moved, what did not, what you will not claim, and one shipping implication.

How a live seat actually runs

  1. Inventory

You arrive with the events you already fire. We mark ghosts, duplicates, and names that cannot survive a translator.

  2. Stage contract

The squad writes a one-page contract for a single feature: who qualifies, what counts as success, what is explicitly out of scope.

  3. Build and bruise

You construct the funnel in your own tool. Critique is public inside the cohort. Pretty charts without a denominator get sent back.

  4. PM readout

You present to a guest product manager. If they cannot restate your finding in one sentence, the report is unfinished.

From the review desk

A Bangkok lending app had one “activation funnel” that mixed KYC, first transfer, and bill-pay. Drop-off looked catastrophic and nobody trusted the number. After the Feature Funnel Reporting Studio, they split the path into three feature contracts and reported each with its own denominator.

The bill-pay funnel still looked weak. That was useful. The KYC funnel did not. The squad stopped spending design time on a problem the data no longer supported.

Wattana studio

If your funnel report cannot survive a question from engineering, do not present it.

Write to the studio with the feature you are trying to measure. We will tell you whether a Desk Pass, an Atelier Seat, or a private Research Partnership is the honest next step.
